Ok I am in Core Plus 4 Honors. I need some help. I totally fotgot how to do any of this stuff. thanks for helping.

1. The Slope of the linie 2x+5y=20 is?
(a)2
(b)-2
(c) 2/5
(d) 10
(e)-2/5

2. If f(x)=xsquared, then f(a+2)=?
(a) a squared + 4a + a
(b) a squared + 2
(c) a squared + 4
(d) a squared + 2a + 4
(e) a squared + 2

3. If ax+b=cx+d, then x =?
(a) d - b over a - c
(b) db over ac
(c) b - d over ac
(d) b - d over a +c
(e) c + d - b over a

4. Which of the following is not a zero of f(x) = 2x to the fourth - 6x cubed - 2x squared + 6?
(a) 0
(b) 1
(c) 2
(d) -1
(e) 3

5. The distance between the point (2,4) to the point (7,- is
(a) 13
(b) square root of 41
(c) square root of 13
(d) square root of 97
(e) none of these

6. Simplify (x cubed over 3z) to the negitive 3rd power
(a) x to the 6th, z cubed, over -27
(b) -27 z cubed over x to the 9th
(c) z cubed over 27x to the 6th
(d) -9z cubed over x to the ninth
(e) 27z cubed over x to the 9th

7. If x>0, then the square root of 36x squared + 4 x squared is equal to?
(a) 14x
(b) 10x squared
(c) 14x squared
(d) 10x
(e) 48x

Thank you for helping me with this. I forgot how to do all this stuff. so if uknow the answer could u please explain why? thnaks

1. C) shouldnt be that hard to figure out, just plug numbers in
2. C), just replace a+2 in for all the x's in the equation
3. D), just a guess, not sure how to do it, that kinda math I did so long ago
4. Dunno, that was like 2 years ago where we dealed with quartics
5. I dont know what you mean by (7,-.....Regardless what that second point is, just use the distance between 2 points formula
6. E) negative exponents means you flip the equation, making it --The ^'s are the sign for exponents-- (3z/x^3)^3, then distribute the ^3
7. D) easy question, find the square root 38 (=Cool and 4 (=2), the exponents on the x's you can get rid of since theyre in a square root leaving you with 8x + 2x

Your wrong about number 1, it's E. You have to solve for y...

I'm not sure about number 2, it should be a squared + 4a + 4... but that's not an option.

It's A because, ax-cx=d-b.. x(a-c)=d-b.. d-b / a-c

You have to take a two out, and then bring the 6 to the other side. I completely forget how to factor a cubed function... So can't help you on that one..

(x cubed / 3z) - cubed... flip it and distribute a cubed to everything. 27z cubed over x ninth. So that's E.

This is actually a difficult question or an easy question. I'd need to know if that entire binomial is taken to the square root or each term... so can't help you on that one.

I just realized I made a few more mistakes

said 38 instead of 36
said square root of 36 is 8 instead of 6
forgot to turn it into (a+2)(a+2)

its cool though, Ive got a head cold lol
